How did we become

The World's Largest Goalkeeper camp?

In 1989, three goalkeepers and an actor formed a summer camp specifically designed to develop and highlight the most neglected player on a soccer team: the goalkeeper. Ever since that summer, we have grown and our fan base spreads further. We've had goalkeepers attend from nearly every state and even from outside of the country!

This year, we are excited to host 400 goalkeepers—our largest camp to date. Our growth is attributed to our great staff, great location, great kids, natural grass, and our deep commitment to developing the goalkeeper's role and skills.

Why is it called Camp Shutout?

While at UW-Parkside, Camp Shutout founder, Stan Anderson rewrote the record books. Until the 2000 college season, Stan held or shared numerous national goalkeeping records – including most shutouts in a season and most consecutive shutouts! And so, the name Camp Shutout was born.
