Good evening Camp Shutout!

On July 2, 2009, in News, by Admin

Good evening Camp Shutout!

Welcome to all the new Camp Shutout keepers that will be joining us this summer…this email will provide plenty of information for you as we get closer to July 26.

Head Count?
We are OVER 130 keepers with just over 3 weeks of registrations left.  We will STOP TAKING REGISTRATIONS AT 140 but will start a waiting list…again, thank you for already making 2009 the highest attended year!  Dare I say that Camp Shutout may be the highest attended camp in the country.

There are also many exciting things happening with the staff…we plan for all of it to come together for you.

Food?
Qdoba will again be participating with a meal…Sobelman’s will also be participating with a meal…Cousins will also be providing a meal….to these fine establishments we are truly appreciative!

Planning for the week?
You are welcome to attend Camp Shutout any time you would like but….for the younger keepers I would encourage you to attend Thursday night and then pick up at Valley Fields on Friday at 12:00.  There will be plenty of play on Thursday night and Friday morning.
For the older keepers I would encourage you to attend Friday night and then pick up at Valley Fields on Saturday at 12:00. There will be plenty of play on Friday and Saturday morning.

Dan Pfeifer will be in attendance with music and he will be announcing the event!

On Thursday/Friday night you will have the opportunity to head to Sobelman’s, great sponsor, with your son/daughter as it is just a stone’s throw from the training ground.
We will have the curfew time for these nights as we get closer.

Lodging?
If you were looking to come in for Thursday/Friday and then looking to spend the night for next day pick up I suggest: HIlton City Center, Iron Horse Hotel or The Ambassador.

Gloves?
Courtesy of Stefans Soccer Supply we do have some PUMA King XL Gun Cut gloves for $55.  This is the same glove the staff will be wearing. Quantities are limited and will be first come/first served.   I am working on another program with another brand…details to follow.

Roadshow?
The Stevens Point Road Show was a rousing success.  63 keepers which was a double digit increase from last year. Eric Wiberg did a great job and the Camp Shutout staff performed very well…first class all around!

The Grand Rapids Road Show is coming up next week…still room to register…we will have over 20 keepers in our first year and first ever venture to Michigan. John Clark is the contact at 616-690-3009

Tshirt?
We will be debuting a new Tshirt in Grand Rapids…they will be on sale at Camp Shutout at Marquette.

Skit Night?
Remember we will have a skit night…plan ahead!  This year could the best!

Roommate?
If you have not done so already please notify Mary if you have a roommate request. Marypanderson@gmail.com

Summerfest?
Don’t forget Marquette Soccer will be at Summerfest this Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Pictures, soccer tennis, coaches, players, autographs and more…

All for now….

See you soon!
