I don’t know about you but I am a kid in a candy store when it comes to gloves!

A couple quick things:

We are just a few days away from Camp Shutout Road Show – Stevens Point.  65 keepers are signed up for the 3 day experience.  If that is an option for you visit www.wibergwgs.com. This is a great 3 day training experience!

Camp Shutout Road Show Grand Rapids is still taking reservations for our mid July journey to Michigan. Contact John Clark at john.p.clark@dematic.com for further details!  I am looking forward to our first year in Michigan.

For Camp Shutout, our residential camp at Marquette, we have broken the 100 keeper mark for the 3rd consecutive year!  THANK YOU!

I will have brand new staff gloves available for campers that are interested.  If you are interested please let us know early as I will be bringing a limited amount. They will be discounted and will be exactly the same as the staff will be wearing. (Courtesy Stefans Soccer Supply)

With 100+ registrations comes the reality….IF, and I stress IF, the second field at Marquette is not completed prior to July 26 we will have to close registrations at 120.  IF the field is completed by July 26 then we will cap registrations at 140.

Lastly….consider our Marquette University Elite Camp (high school age) this summer….August 5-8 at Marquette.  Contact info for this camp is Dave Doggett marquettesoccerschools@hotmail.com

Camp Shutout Keepers,

Here is a good article on two Camp Shutout goalkeepers who will be facing each other today in the Illinois Class 3A State Championship.

As you will read, Allison Norenberg (Fremd) is the keeper who pulled her team through via PK’s. Nicole D’Agostino (Hinsdale Central) is the other keeper. (There was more mention of Nicole in the Chicago Tribune hard copy edition)

Congrats to both keepers….perhaps a bit of Camp Shutout bragging rights on the line today!

This will be the 3rd year that I will head to Stevens Point to work with Eric Wiberg and his cradle of goalkeepers.  This program is designed as a precursor to the residential Camp Shutout.  The Camp Shutout staff heads to Stevens Point for 3 days and 5 sessions.  Eric has done a fantastic job promoting goalkeeping in this part of the state…the keepers are truly reaping the benefits by receiving interest through the video he posts online at www.wibergwgs.com.  Each year the  Camp Shutout Roadshow has expanded and has drawn more and more keepers.  Join us for a great 3 day goalkeeper experience!
